Chapter 22 + Watch my short film “FRAMED”

On my 21’st birthday last year, I did the most, like I always do. I was excited, finally legal, but also still dealing with the loss of a loved one so, I had a lot to share. I wrote, “21”(read here), a post which detailed specific events from every year in my life that may have contributed a great deal to who I am now. I knew it was a good read, hoped it would inspire someone and thankfully it did. The views were amazing, the comments even more awesome. That may have been my best birthday yet, because, aside from the fact that I was surrounded by love from a lot of family and friends, I got some more on the blog too. Hearing from people who felt my story had inspired them and on my birthday too was all the happiness that I needed.

Fast forward one year later. A day to my birthday, I’m thinking “I need to do something for the blog” and it needs to be bigger than “21” because “21” was a hit. But I don’t really have any birthday worthy stories to tell, not one that can top “21” anyway. So I go to bed instead.

When I wake up, the first thing on my mind, aside from my dream that Donjazzy called me to wish me a happy birthday, is “FRAMED“. It’s probably the best thing that happened to me in 21+, that and graduation. It’s my labor of love, my beacon of hope, and the one reminder of what I can achieve if I set my mind to it…the light at the end of my tunnel. I tell myself I’m going to share it, here on the blog, for every body who has supported me on this journey to see.

It’s probably not the smartest thing to do, considering I was just about selling it to a streaming site but what the hell, let’s live a little. Here’s to chapter 22, hopefully, life brings just enough happiness to deal with the rough patches.
