100 Qualities Of A Good Man

I’m pretty sure I can guess what most of you thought when you saw the title of this article. It’s the same thing I thought when it was assigned to me- Are there good men? To answer this question in an unbiased way I had to pull myself away from the qualities I have associated most men with. I had to remove prejudice, past hurt, irritation, anger, bias and a whole lot more. After doing that I realised though extremely rare, there are good men out there. 

They are kind to any and everyone. They are humble. They don’t think they’re better than anyone else, nor do they think the world should bow to them simply because they are ‘men’. They go out of their way to help others. They lift women and minorities up. These are some qualities of a good man. They are each their own person but they have similar traits. Traits that would make you pause and go, ‘now that’s a good man.’ Basically, in my opinion, a good man is one part feminist, 2 parts fictional male written by a woman 👀-haha. 

Joking aside, you can sum up a good man to a good person. A good human being who goes out of their way to not cause harm (physical or emotional) to anyone undeserving. A good person who sees their privilege and doesn’t let it blind them to the plight of others. A good man is a person you don’t have to settle for. He sees you for you. He sees you as his equal, his partner, not his subordinate. He does everything he can to treat and love you right.
