5 Way to Live A Soft Girl Life This Summer

According to the urban dictionary, soft life is defined as  a lifestyle primarily based on making a decisions that leaves one feeling stress-free and vibrating high. It’s less about wealth, (although money helps) and more about making good choices for your mental health.

Is it possible to live a soft life 24/7? Absolutely not! Soft life is real life, and real-life comes with its own daily struggles and problems. However, just like everything else in life, living the soft life is all about your mindset- the way you see certain situations, and how you choose to approach them.

Just so we’re clear,  living a soft life does not equate to living a fake life, it’s more about you being in control of your daily life struggles and how you choose to let them affect you, mentally and physically.

Don’t Take On Other People’s Problems

When you frequently take on other people’s problems, it becomes a problem for you. This does not mean you have to be a selfish person in general, just when being selfless would be detrimental to you.

There are times where friends or family’s problems need to come before yours, but constantly taking up other people’s problems and letting them weigh you down is not part of  living a soft life. It is stressful and time consuming and  if you really want to help, you should empower and teach them to take up their own responsibilities and manage their problems better. You know what they say about teaching a man to fish

Take Care Of Yourself

To be a true soft girl, it’s important that you take care of yourself mentally and physically. Looking good is good business! And us girls are no strangers to  the self-confidence, and satisfaction that comes with having your hair on fleek, your nails done, smelling nice, and your outfit all takeaway.(Seriously if you’ve never experienced this before you need to get dressed and get out now!)

Taking care of yourself and putting an effort into your appearance will make you feel good and when you feel good, you exude good vibes, making you feel at ease. I promise you this has  a positive impact on your mental health too, just ask your therapist.

Stop Overanalyzing Situations That Haven’t Happened Yet

Listen, life is already hard, there is no need to make  it harder by overthinking or overanalyzing situations that have not yet happened. Especially when it comes to men. Girllllll y’all need to stop that shit.

We have all been there- creating imaginary scenarios and getting all worked up by circumstances that have not yet happened and may probably never happen. It’s so emotionally and physically draining. Fix your mind girl. And then, fix your face so you don’t get wrinkles.

Instead of overanalyzing a situation, take control of it and try to find a solution because “overthinking no fit solve problem

Do Things That Make You Happy

I know the phrase “do things that make you happy” sounds a little bit cliche, but that is just the truth. And that really is the foundation that Girlily was built on, creating happiness out of experiences as opposed to depending solely on a person for them.

It is important to engage in activities that bring you joy, hang around people with similar interests, as well as, people who make you feel good and happy about yourself.

Doing this will help you block out any form of negativity and also help you see yourself in a different, dare we say, self confident light.

Get The Bag

I know we said living a soft life is not all about having money, which is true, that being said though, there’s nothing more satisfying than getting your own bag and being able to do all the things you love without having to ask someone to pay for it.

We don’t make the rules, Money is a necessity and as the popular saying goes money stops nonsense. Being financially stable puts you in control of your life, here’s to being a boss chic!
